What Is a Prop Firm Challenge? How Size Works

Learn what it takes to qualify for a funded account, and how Size uses a 15-minute trading game to decide who wins one.

By Size team

A prop firm challenge is a test you complete to qualify for a trading account. It is also called a trading evaluation or funded account challenge. Each provider sets its own passing criteria, account rules and payout conditions.

In Size, the challenge is a trading survival game. Compete against skill-rated bots, survive timed eliminations and aim to finish first to win your selected simulated funded account.

What should you compare before entering a challenge?

Start with what you must do, what you pay and what you receive. Do not judge a challenge by the advertised account size alone.

Check the entry price, passing criteria, time limit and trading rules. Will another attempt cost extra? Is the account simulated or live? What share of profits can you receive, and what must happen before a payout?

“Funded account” is only a label. Check the trading balance, how much you can lose and what you can actually receive as a payout.

How does Size's funded challenge work?

Choose the simulated account size you want to play for and review its entry price and account rules. Each entry covers one challenge.

During the challenge, you make virtual trades on live market prices. Trading profits, losses and boosts affect your score. At each elimination stage, the lowest-ranked players are removed. Finish first against the skill-rated bots to win your selected account.

Size also offers paid challenges for cash prizes. Choose the prize you want to play for before entering.

Can I complete the challenge in one sitting?

Size's funded challenge lasts 15 minutes. Survive eliminations and aim to finish first against skill-rated bots. A short game does not guarantee a win.

Winning awards the selected simulated funded account, while account trading and payout eligibility come afterward.

To win the standard funded challenge, finish first with a positive final score and meet its challenge rules shown before entry. You can lose your paid entry; a win is not guaranteed.

What changes after you win?

Winning the challenge unlocks the simulated funded account. Trading that account is a separate stage with separate loss limits and payout conditions.

Your game score is not a payout, and your simulated game profits do not become funded-account profits. Eligible profits earned in the account can qualify for real cash payouts under its rules and your tier's profit share. The account balance itself cannot be withdrawn.

Read the account rules and payout conditions before choosing a tier.

Is a shorter challenge automatically easier?

No. A 15-minute game can still be hard to win. You need to build your score, survive eliminations and beat the bots. Check your selected challenge's difficulty and prize before entering.

Free practice lets you understand the game without entering a funded-account prize challenge. It does not award a funded account.

Try the game before you enter

If you enjoy short trading competitions, try the game before paying to play for an account. Winning the challenge gives you the simulated account; it does not guarantee future profits or a cash payout.

Compare Size's funded account sizes and rules, or try free practice to learn the game first.
